Information you provide

You may enter exact search terms and create browser-based lists containing list names, item names, quantities, supplier selections, notes, and completion status. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and the contact details you choose to provide. Please provide only what is needed for your inquiry.

Your working lists and bookmarks are stored locally in your browser. DentiDex does not require an account and does not automatically submit a list or place an order with a supplier. If you choose to copy, share, print, download, or follow a supplier link, that action is initiated by you.

Information collected automatically

When analytics is enabled, we collect visits, pages and flyers viewed, clicks, scrolling, exact search terms, list actions, and the list names, item names, quantities, and notes involved in those actions. We also receive technical information such as browser and device type, operating system, referral source, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, performance measurements, and browser errors.

Session recordings recreate how pages were used. They may show visible flyer and list details and text entered into ordinary fields. Password fields are masked.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the site, understand which supplies people look for, identify searches that return no useful result, improve navigation and flyer discovery, measure whether features are useful, diagnose errors, protect reliability, and respond to inquiries or privacy requests. We do not use analytics as a backup of your lists or as a way to synchronize them between devices.

Cookies and browser storage

Analytics uses cookies or similar browser identifiers to recognize a browser across visits and remember analytics choices. DentiDex also uses local browser storage for working lists, bookmarks, and preferences. Clearing cookies or site data may remove those lists, bookmarks, identifiers, and preferences. A cleared preference may need to be set again.

Service providers and other websites

Analytics service providers process usage data for DentiDex in the United States. Information processed in another country may be available to courts, law enforcement, or other authorities under that country’s laws. Providers receive information for the services they perform for us. Hosting providers also process connection and security information to deliver and protect the website. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.

DentiDex links to supplier and other external websites. Their privacy practices apply after you leave DentiDex. Content you intentionally copy, share, download, print, or submit elsewhere is handled according to your chosen destination and device settings.

Retention and security

Session recordings are retained for 30 days. Analytics events may be retained longer to compare usage trends and investigate reliability. Other records, including correspondence, are kept as needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal requirements. Local lists and bookmarks remain until you edit them or browser storage is cleared.

DentiDex uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards, but no website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You can turn analytics off or back on using the control above. Turning it off does not disable flyer browsing, searching, or shopping lists. The change applies to future analytics collection in that browser; it does not itself delete information already collected. Clearing browser storage can also reset the choice.

To ask about access, correction, deletion, or a privacy concern, email info@dentidex.com. We may request reasonable information to verify and locate a request. What we can provide or change depends on the request, applicable limits, and whether information can be connected to you; analytics records use browser identifiers rather than a name or account. You may also raise a concern with the privacy regulator responsible for your jurisdiction.

Who the service is for

DentiDex is intended for dental professionals and other adults researching dental supplies. It is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or its information practices change. The date below identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice and seek any additional consent required before information is used for a new purpose.
